pump it

I like to sweat! I love the feeling of my heart pumping, needing to catch my breath and sweat dripping down my forehead!

Most of my work outs come from bodyrock.tv, bpm.tv, a few from muscleandstrength.com and recently I’ve been making up my own! Sometimes I do an Insanity work out in the morning.

No matter what work out I plan on doing for the day, I usually start with a run on the treadmill. Typically 20-30 miuntes and usually including sprints and uphill intervals.

Bodyrock and bpm sometimes call for a sandbag, “stabilizer or equalizer”, stabililty ball, medicine ball and dumbells. My gym doesn’t have sandbags, so I usually use a kettle bell, dumbells, or medicine ball (12-16 pounds). The “stabilizer or equalizer” is usually for tricep dips and inclined push ups… my gym doesn’t have those either- so I use a box (used for box jumps).  My gym has most of the other equipment.

Muscle and Strength usually requires dumb bells, bar bells and machines/equipment found in most gyms.

Insanity doesn’t require any equipment.

SO, everyday I will post the work out I do that day! And comment later on whether or not I liked it, what I might want to change about or whether it killed me or not, etc.

I love working out as well! I usually do Jillian Michael’s “No More Trouble Zones”, or Amy Dixon, or Jillian’s Ripped in 30 (I’m only up to week 3, but I’m 48, so I think that’s pretty good). And my family does Tae Kwon Do. Exercise is so key to health!!

I’ve heard things about Jillian Michael’s work outs! I may have to look into that!
